How do I begin Internet Banking with Johnson County Bank?

Simply visit JCB and fill out an application to begin. You will be given a username and password. Visit the bank’s website, sign-in, and begin enjoying the convenience of online banking.

How do I know that my Internet Banking transactions will be secure?

Whenever Internet Banking is mentioned, the word “security” is usually not far behind. The bank has provided Internet Banking with the latest advanced security options available. All data is encrypted with the latest technology. Furthermore, the bank has contracted with a technology company that is constantly working to ensure that your transactions are completely secure. When you see “https” at the beginning of the website address, this means that you are connecting to a secure site. If you are using Internet Explorer, you will see a padlock icon in the bottom right corner. Lastly, we may also require you to change your password periodically and to include numbers and letters in your password. These measures are all in place to maintain optimal security.

What features does Internet Banking offer?

You will be able to access real-time information about your accounts any time of the day or night from any Internet connection. In addition, Internet Banking offers:

  • Account balance for Checking, Savings, Certificate of Deposit, Money Market, & Loans
  • View your account activity including posting date, type of transaction, check number, description, and amount of transaction
  • Transaction history for checking and savings accounts
  • Transfer funds between accounts
  • Pay bills online and setup recurring payments
  • Download account history to Microsoft Money or Excel.
  • Transfer funds from a credit line to your checking or savings account
  • Access your loan information including interest rate, payment due date, payment amount, balance, payoff amount, & available credit amount
  • Make a loan payment

What if I forget my password?

No problem. Simply contact us, and a representative can quickly reset your password.

How do I change my password?

After logging in to Internet Banking, click on the Change Password link. Type your new password in the boxes, and click Submit. Your password will be changed immediately. The passwords are case sensitive and must be at least 6 characters with a combination of letters and numbers. We suggest that you choose something that is not easily guessed by anyone.

Is there a limit to the number of transfers between my savings and checking account?

Yes. JCB allows 2 transfers per month and 6 per quarter without any charge, any transfers there after a fee shall be applied.

My spouse and I have separate accounts. Can we access each other’s account in Internet Banking?

Yes, you can link the accounts as long as both parties agree. Contact your bank representative to set this up. You will then be able to use your unique usernames to access each other’s account information and transfer funds between accounts.

Johnson County Bank Bill Pay Service allows customers who have established an Online Banking relationship to pay bills or make payments directly from their checking account via the internet. Bill Pay eliminates the need to purchase and write checks & lessen the need for stamps.

What bills can I pay through Banking Online?

You can pay practically anyone using Banking Online - both businesses and individuals within the continental United States. The only payments not eligible for the service are those for alimony, child support payments, tax payments, and other court-directed or government payments, fines, and penalties. We do not recommend using Bill Pay Online services to fund brokerage or investment services.

Can I set up my Savings account to use with Bill Pay?
No. Federal regulations greatly limit the number of certain electronic transactions, including Bill Pay payments from savings accounts; therefore, Bill Pay may only be used with CHECKING accounts.

What do I do if I decided that Bill Pay is not for me?

Simply send a email requesting that bill pay be deleted from your Internet account to us by clicking here.
